
The hum of the auditorium shifted into a heavy, expectant silence as Professor Iyer stepped up to the podium. He was a man of silver hair and sharp eyes, the kind of academic who could smell a student's lack of preparation from a mile away. He adjusted the microphone, the feedback ringing briefly through the hall, before scanning the sea of students. Half dressed in the relaxed, earthy aesthetics of the Psychology department and the other half in the sharp, impatient silhouettes of the Commerce students.
